Entry Door Security

For most of us living in this messy world, we want to be able to come home to a place that’s safe and sound. A place that gives us a peace of mind and relaxation. A place to unwind from the stresses of daily life. The idea of your home’s security should be at the bottom of your list of things to worry about, but, like others, you might find yourself worrying about it more often than not. It could be as simple as you hearing a story on the news that makes you feel scared about your neighborhood, city, etc. Or it could be a strange sound coming from outside your window. Just how safe is your home anyway? Since the beginning of time we have found ways to protect ourselves from the outside world. We use these same methods today to protect ourselves from home invaders. Doors and windows are just a tool to help us and our home be safe.

A building’s doors are thought by most to be the main security deterrent against home invasion. A door’s security system includes: the door, hinges, door handle, the closure, strike plate, door frame, and jamb shield. It is all of these components working together that offer the security of a door’s entry to the home. It is these components that give homeowners like you and me peace of mind that what is outside stays out. This system must be designed for effectiveness and ease of operation. That is why at Conservation Construction of Texas we only use the highest quality doors for your protection.  It’s important to remember that top secure door systems consist of a combination of mechanical and electronic locking devices. Your safety is determined by your doors and their weakest components.

How well does your current entry door protect you from the outside world? Is your current door reinforced? Although each person’s needs are unique and different, every type of house or building requires protection against forced entry. The more solid the door, the higher the chances are that you’ll be protected. We’d like to put your mind at ease when you are lying at home safe and sound in your bed. The challenge is determining how much protection you want for your home.

These are all great things to think about when purchasing a new door. Security should be at the top of the list for all homeowners looking to add longevity and value into the life of their house.

Even with security devices in place, your home could still be easily accessed without the door lock, door jamb, or hinge shields all working together to ensure your safety.

Conservation Construction takes the security of your home very seriously. Your entry doors are the most important feature when looking for your next exterior door. That’s why we not only have the best fiberglass doors to protect your home, but steel doors as well.  Legacy Steel or Smooth steel doors provide an elegant and energy efficient addition to any home.

There are many advantages to our ProVia Legacy doors including:

  • Custom Widths and heights (customizable to an ⅛’’ inch increments)
  • 20 gauge steel security plate for durability make these stronger by design

So why is it so important that our doors include 20 gauge steel plates? For your safety of course. So you don’t have to worry about crime outside because you’ll be safe inside. All of our ProVia doors are also inserted with steel plating throughout the door to ensure added toughness against any outside forced entry. Lock blocks inside the door reinforce both the lock and deadbolt areas. Our ProVia doors are also subjected to rigorous testing to meet ASTM spec torture testing (a standard test method for door systems subject to airblastings). This just mean that we simulate a forced entry with way more force than a normal door would ever receive. After the tests, our doors passed with flying colors. This means the front of the door, shields, side of the door, are all working together to provide high protection for you and your family.

We also have 5  beautiful styles of Patio Doors that also offer safety for the side of your house as well.

These styles include

  • Classic French

You’ll be too dead asleep and too sure of how safe your door is to care. Too bad your roof isn’t this strong, right? The entry to my home I feel is pretty secure. However, I might be changing that soon. If I do go with a new door, I will have to get the help of a professional for the installation.
